Learning to Sew

Grandma Munoa did not want to send another grandchild out on a mission without teaching them how to sew on a button and hem.  She sat Jake down and taught him how to thread and knot a needle and do the basics.  She also gave him a sewing kit to take full of all gadgets and thread he'll need for the next two years.  

 

 

 Grandpa and Grandma had to say goodbye early since they are off on a 4 month Alaska RV trip 

and won't be back for his farewell.  

Priesthood and Temples

Jake received the Melchizedek Priesthood last week and got his temple recommend to to do his own endowments.  He chose to go to the Salt Lake Temple.

 

 It was a beautiful day.  The session was live and it was a wonderful experience.  

Grandpa & Grandma McKee, Grandpa & Grandma Munoa, Dad & Mom, and Ali were there with him.

 

 

 

 The next day mom, dad, and Jake ran over to the Provo temple so Jake could go through again and see the movie.  It's a different experience.  It's amazing to be in the temple with Jake and know he is an adult making adult decisions.  It was peaceful and wonderful to look across the aisle and see his smiling face.
